The workshop is the beating heart of The Fire Masters. This is where we create our machines and where they come to life with a spark, flame, jet, pilot light, explosion, crackling firework or flashing light. It is where we experiment, try out, ignite, test, inflame and burn to ashes. We don't let any opportunity go past to try out a new fire effect..
Next to the testing and trying out, we incessantly build and upgrade our fire installations. Street theatre and stage performing cannot exist without a fitting decor and that means hundreds to thousands of props that we almost all design and make ourselves. This is the invisible part for the public, but more than half of all invested time and means goes into creation and construction of scene elements. Amongst our team are people that can weld, sow, grind and drill, file and paint, sand down and saw, draw and design, blow glass and mosaic.
We want to bring fire to each possible setting, but that can only be achieved by constantly trying out new ideas and redrawing our own boundaries. How do we bring fire on water? How can we improve our own safety and efficiency? How can we make our offer more affordable for our clients? Which new fire proof materials are there on the market? How can we do it more ecologically? We combine our knowledge and curiosity to constantly change our revolutionary performances.
